Minha Familia!
I just finished writing my email, you wouldn’t even believe how stressful it was. We have a timer on the upper right hand corner of the screen that counts down from 30 minutes and when it reaches 5 minutes left, it turns red. How stressful is that? Then, after I finished writing to Nana and the boys, the fire alarm went off and we had to log off and go outside (it was freezing) and stand out there for a half an hour before we could come back in. Then we came back in and as we were writing in the lab, some obnoxious missionaries came in and started making a ruckus. So if it doesn’t make sense, I apologize.
It feels good to finally be in the swing of things now. New Elders arrive tomorrow, it will be nice to not be thought of as the newest Elders anymore. I’m sure that I’ve said this a million times, but it’s amazing how fast we’re learning Portuguese. Especially seeing my companion Elder Warner getting better and better at speaking it.
Estou aprendando com meu Distrito muito rapido e nos podemos ensinar Rosangela sem medo!
Use Google translate if you can’t get it. I just have to say that I’m looking back at that first night…when I was filled with fear of the unknown, when all of us were; I don’t think I am the same as last Tuesday. This past Sunday our Branch President, President Gubler, told us that Elder is literally translated to mean, “Defender of the faith.” I try to think about that while I’m here. It’s quite a profound realization to understand that we share a portion of apostleship.
So basically I love you all and I’m happy here. Tell Nana that I’m eating 3 square haha. I haven’t weighed myself yet but I’m sure I’ve gained weight. Also, I’ve got some pictures to send you all…I just don’t know when I’ll be able to send them! By the way, my estimated departure date is December 13th…but two Elders in my district just left so, you never know! I love you all, wish you the best, and hope to hear from you.
Love,
Elder LeFoll
